Industrial robots are programmable machines used for automating manufacturing processes in industries and are capable of movement on three or more axes.  These effectively reduce high and tiring efforts of producing & manufacturing consumer goods and work with high endurance, speed, and precision.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS:

  • In January 2021, FANUC expanded its range of industrial robots with the introduction of two high-payload models: the M-20iD/35 multi-purpose handling robot and the ARC Mate 120iD/35 ARC welding robot. Both models have a maximum payload of 35kg and a reach of 1,831mm.
  • In January 2021, Enterprise AI solution provider, MakinaRocks announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Robotics on January 14, regarding the cooperation of the two companies in developing AI-based anomaly detection for industrial robot arms.   
  • In January 2021, Piab, introduced a soft gripper – or end effector – for industrial robots. The company says its piSoftGrip range is developed for the automation of the food and chocolate industry.
